The TV Academy is bringing together a slew of sitcom heavyweights from the 1980s for what promises to be a blockbuster panel.

Dubbed "Funnybone of the 1980s," the event will feature notable names from "Cheers," "Designing Women," "Night Court" and "Murphy Brown," with talent from both in front of and behind the camera scheduled to attend. It's set for Monday, Nov. 16 at the Leonard Goldenson Theater.

Among the scheduled panelists:

--From "Cheers," stars Ted Danson and Kelsey Grammer and creators Glen Charles, Les Charles and Jim Burrows.

--"Designing Women" creators Linda Bloodworth Thomason and Harry Thomason. Meshach Taylor has also been booked, but so far none of the "Women." (Hmmm...).

--"Night Court" stars John Larroquette, Markie Post and Charlie Robinson, along with creator Reinhold Weege.

--"Murphy Brown" executive producers Gary Dontzig and Steve Peterman, along with director Peter Bonerz and series regular Joe Regalbuto. No Diane English or Candice Bergen as of yet, however.

As of now admission is limited to TV Academy members, who need an online ID to RSVP for the event. For more info on joining the Academy, click here.
