USA Sets June Return for 'Burn,' 'Royal'

Trying to create its own must-see TV lineup, USA will pair "Royal Pains" and "Burn Notice" on Thursdays this summer.

"Pains" will air at 9 followed by "Burn" at 10, starting June 3, the network said. They'll be joined in July by the return of "White Collar" and "Psych" and the premiere of "Covert Affairs."

USA is hoping to improve on its already stellar performance with its summer slate, but it won't be easy. Broadcasters seem determined to Xerox the network's blue sky strategy this summer, with shows such as Fox's "The Good Guys" primed to serve up the same sort of easy, breezy caper-riffic fare USA has thrived on. ABC and CBS are also expected to air first-run scripted fare this summer as well.

Game on.
