Now this would’ve been ironic. Or something.

During his radio show on Wednesday, Glenn Beck fell ill. Turns out he needed to have his appendix removed. Judge Andrew Napolitano stepped in for Beck on his Fox News show.

Reps for Beck said his emergency appendectomy went fine, and he was resting comfortably by early evening, and is expected to make a full recovery.

One person who should be extra relieved by this news is Keith Olbermann.

It was Olbermann who ended his “Worst Person in the World” segment on Tuesday’s “Countdown” – a rant targeting Beck’s “9/12 Project” and opposition to healthcare reform -- by telling Beck to “go to hell.”

Harsh words, even for Olbermann.

And despite a bitter rivalry with Beck, I don’t think even he’d want that on his conscience.
