It looks as if Steve McPherson has found himself a "Friend."
ABC has all but cinched a deal for the Matthew Perry/Jamie Tarses project that was being shopped to networks. News of the project was first reported by Nellie Andreeva of the Hollywood Reporter Monday night; by Tuesday afternoon, TV MoJoe heard rumblings that ABC was the likely home for the project.
The network still isn't confirming it's got Perry, but it seems likely everything will be wrapped up tomorrow.
