Sundance 2016: The star and his director Matt Ross say the film’s reclusive family will shock modern audiences

TheWrap welcomed director Matt Ross and his star Viggo Mortensen to discuss their film “Captain Fantastic” at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival.

Ross explained how he formulated a fictional family, led by Mortensen, that lives deep in the forest of the Pacific Northwest, shuns modern comforts and delights in an analog existence.

“It’s sure to offend,” Mortensen joked in the above clip.
