Vin Diesel Gets Emotional Talking About Paul Walker at ‘Furious 7’ Screening (Video)

“I lost my best friend. I lost my brother,” Diesel tells the audience as he breaks down

It’s been a year and a half since Paul Walker died and his friend Vin Diesel still has a difficult time talking about the late actor.

Diesel got choked up during a moving tribute to Walker at a recent screening of “Furious 7” in Los Angeles.

“This was a labor of love. It was in some ways the hardest movie I ever had to do because the relationships that you see on film are so real,” Diesel said. “When the tragedy happened, I lost my best friend. I lost my brother.”

The actor then began to break down, but several people in the audience chimed in and showed empathy by yelling,”You’re the man,” “I love you bro” and “you got family here Vin.”

Diesel said he stopped by the advance screening, because it was the first public showing of the movie “in California, where the whole franchise started.”

Walker died in a fiery single car crash on Nov. 30, 2013 in Valencia, California.

Universal Pictures delayed the film after the actor’s death. When shooting resumed, Walker’s brothers Caleb and Cody helped with the production by standing in for their late sibling.

“Furious 7” arrives in theaters on April 3.
