“The Walking Dead” co-star Danai Gurira is increasing her presence in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and will appear in Marvel’s “Avengers: Infinity War,” TheWrap has confirmed.

No specifics about Gurira’s appearance in “Infinity War” have been disclosed; we’re told she isn’t starring but will have a role of some kind. Notably, she will make her MCU debut ahead of “Infinity War” next February in Marvel’s upcoming “Black Panther,” where she’ll play Okoye, head of the Dora Milaje, the personal bodyguards of King T’Challa — AKA Black Panther — played by Chadwick Boseman. It’s likely she’ll reprise the role in “Infinity War”

Directed by Ryan Coogler and starring Chadwick Boseman in the title role, “Black Panther” hits theaters February 16, 2018.

“Avengers: Infinity War” will follow three months later on May 4. The film brings together nearly every Marvel Cinematic Universe hero to battle Thanos, the villain played by Josh Brolin who schemes to control the mystical infinity stones and gain power over life and death. It’s directed by Anthony and Joe Russo.
