If you think Stephan Curry is talented, you should see the skilled construction workers breaking ground on the Golden State Warriors’ new $1 billion stadium, Chase Center.

No expense has been spared on the new home of the 2015 NBA champions — from the gold-plated shovels to the rich soil — but the most impressive thing was the synchronized dance the excavators performed while acrobats dressed as construction workers swung and fireworks exploded in the background.

The team put on quite a show for the 1,000 guests — including Warriors’ All-Star forward Kevin Durant and head coach Steve Kerr — invited to witness the dawning of the new arena in Mission Bay, California, SF Gate reported.

“The place you are sitting right now is going to be transformed into the Warriors’ practice court,” Warriors President Rick Welts said about the stadium, which has been in development for the past five years. “Two hundred feet behind me is center court.”

Welt has big dreams for the arena, beyond the Warriors’ bid for another NBA championship. “Closer than that is where Beyoncé will take the stage,” he continued. “The future president of the United States is going to get nominated right here. Family shows, conventions, graduations — a lot of memories will be made here.”

Chase Center is being built on a vacant lot that has been slated for development since 1998, according to SF Gate. The team agreed to buy the property at Third and 16th streets in San Francisco’s Mission Bay in 2014, and has spent two years participating in the public planning process.

The Warriors have played at Oracle Arena in Oakland since 1972. It is adjacent to the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum, where the Oakland Raiders currently play — but the NFL is expected to soon approve the team moving to Las Vegas.
