Rob Lowe goes back to the ’80s on a new episode of Fox’s “The Grinder.”
In the latest cold open clip (above), Lowe’s Dean Sanderson is seen via flashback with an old girlfriend (played by “The Office” alum Jenna Fischer) as they watch what is potentially his big break: “Hot Mechanic” on a sitcom called “Genesis.”
Turns out, though, Dean had much higher hopes for his character, as well as an eight-page background story.
The episode also features Chris Klein, guest-starring as Benji.
“The Grinder” airs Tuesdays at 8:30/7:30c on Fox.
