Watch the Opening Credits for Disney XD’s ‘DuckTales’ Reboot (Video)

Admit it — you’re already hearing “whoo-oo!” in your head

There’s still a few months to go before the premiere of Disney XD’s reboot of the classic animated series “DuckTales,” but if you can’t wait to find out for sure if life truly is like a hurricane in Duckberg, here’s a little something to tide you over — Disney has released the show’s opening title sequence. Watch it for yourself above.

The “DuckTales” reboot kicks off an hour-long movie on Saturday, August 12, at midnight and repeated for 24 consecutive hours. The series proper will premiere with two new episodes on September 23, coinciding with the 30th anniversary of the Daytime Emmy-winning original “DuckTales.” New episodes will also be available on the Disney XD app and Disney XD VOD once they premiere.

The original theme song, written by Mark C. Muller, has been reimagined for the new series, performed by Felicia Barton and produced by Michael ‘Smidi’ Smith and Dominic Lewis. You can watch the new opening credits featuring the song in the video above.

Based on “Uncle Scrooge” and other “Donald Duck universe” comics created for Disney by legendary writer-artist Carl Barks, “DuckTales” follows the adventures of Huey, Dewey, Louie, and Scrooge McDuck. Danny Pudi, Ben Schwartz and Bobby Moynihan will play the young duck triplets, while “Dr. Who” and “Jessica Jones” alum David Tennant voices Uncle Scrooge.

Lin-Manuel Miranda, Kate Micucci, Beck Bennett and Toks Olagundoye are among the stars rounding out the cast.
