Watch Trump’s ‘Fake News’ Ad That CNN Refuses to Air (Video)

“The mainstream media is not fake news, and therefore the ad is false,” CNN says

CNN blocked a commercial from the Donald J. Trump for President organization titled “First 100 Days,” which was designed to highlight the president’s first 100 days but also takes a shot at the mainstream media.

The ad features the words “fake news” in bold, red font over photos of news anchors, including CNN’s Wolf Blitzer.

CNN issued the following statement: “CNN requested that the advertiser remove the false graphic that the mainstream media is ‘fake news.’ The mainstream media is not fake news, and therefore the ad is false and per policy will be accepted only if that graphic is deleted.”

CNN is not alone in the attack from Trump’s camp. The other journalists that the commercial calls “fake news” are MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell and Rachel Maddow, ABC’s George Stephanopoulos and CBS’s Scott Pelley.

Donald J. Trump for President, Inc. issued a statement of its own: “It is absolutely shameful to see the media blocking the positive message that President Trump is trying to share with the country. It’s clear that CNN is trying to silence our voice and censor our free speech because it doesn’t fit their narrative.”

Despite CNN’s position, it remains possible that the ad may pop up on the network via a local ad buy.
