Delightfully stupid is another way to describe it
Weird Al's takeover of pop music and intellectual discourse marches on, its fourth day marking its descent into true absurdity.
From slight social commentary in his Pharrell parody (“Tacky”) to clever double-meaning in his take on Lorde's “Royals” (“Foil), the first three songs of “Mandatory Fun” have been smart, winking nods at the audience, statements about something insane or at least laughable going on in 21st century America. His fourth video, however, largely abandons his light-touch observation, trading criticism in for pure silliness.
And it is absolutely fantastic.
Behold Weird Al's spoof on Iggy Azalea's “Fancy,” a goofy song and video called “Handy,” which will be sung by every repairman and plumber in the United States for the next two decades, minimum.
