‘What’s the Deal’ With Hollywood and the NBA Finals? (Video)

The championship series isn’t the only thing LeBron James is starring in, as “Trainwreck” ads will air all week

The NBA Finals started tonight with LeBron James‘ hometown Cleveland Cavaliers traveling to Oakland to take on league MVP Steph Curry’s Golden State Warriors, which are co-owned by Hollywood veteran Peter Guber.

Never one to miss a prime marketing opportunity, Hollywoood will be taking advantage of the NBA Finals’ young, male audience to advertise its summer movie wares, from the latest installments in action franchises such as “Mission: Impossible” and “Terminator” to comic book movies such as “Ant-Man” and “Fantastic Four,” or family films like “Minions” and “Inside Out.”

Blockbusters aren’t the only movies that will be advertised, as LeBron’s upcoming comedy “Trainwreck,” directed by Judd Apatow and starring Amy Schumer, is also expected to receive a major push from Universal.

In this week’s episode of “What’s the Deal?,” TheWrap’s film reporter Jeff Sneider breaks down the NBA Finals and which movies you can expect to see glimpses of during all those coveted commercial breaks.
