Howard Stern won’t play old interviews with Donald Trump, in which the GOP nominee said controversial remarks about women, because “it would be a betrayal.”

“I feel Donald Trump did the show in an effort to be entertaining and have fun with us,” Stern said on his SiriusXM show Monday. “I feel like it would be a betrayal to any of our guests if I sat there and played them now (when) people are attacking him.”

Trump appeared regularly on Stern’s radio show during “The Apprentice” days and many decade-old sound bites are coming back to haunt him during his presidential run. Trump’s treatment of women has come into question since the Washington Post released tapes in which Trump made lewd comments to former “Access Hollywood” correspondent Billy Bush.

Trump’s comments to Stern over the years include talking about breast implants, deeply troubled girls being “great in bed,”cheating on his spouse, his daughter’s appearance, being able to have sex with Princes Diana, and even walking in on beauty pageant contestants.

“I knew I had a guy who loved to talk about sex,” Stern said. “I had a guy who loved to evaluate women on a scale of 1 to 10. These are avenues I went down because I knew it would entertain the audience.”

In addition, Stern’s show is also where Trump famously said he was, sort of, for the war in Iraq despite often telling other media members he was against it. Through it all, both Trump and Stern maintain it was all in good fun.

“If I ever thought I was running for president, I wouldn’t have done the show or I would have given very boring answers,” Trump recently told Dr. Oz when asked why he was such a frequent guest on Stern.
