“The Other Guys” are about to become parents in “Daddy’s Home.”

Paramount announced Wednesday that Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg will team up for the upcoming comedy directed by Sean Anders (“Horrible Bosses 2”), who is one of the many names attributed to revising a screenplay by “Entourage” writer Brian Burns.

Anders’ regular writing partner John Morris also pitched in writing duties, along with Chris Henchy, Adam McKay and Etan Cohen.

This time, however, Ferrell and Wahlberg will not be partners, but instead rival parents competing for the affection of the same kids. Ferrell will play a stepfather whose life gets complicated when his stepkids’ freeloading father comes back home.

Morris will produce with Ferrell, Henchy and McKay through their Gary Sanchez Productions banner, while Riza Aziz, Joey McFarland and David Koplan will executive produce for Red Granite Pictures, along with Kevin Messick and Jessica Elbaum of Gary Sanchez, Anders and Diana Pokorny.

“Will and Mark are the absolute perfect on-screen duo to take on this hilarious project,” Adam Goodman, president of Paramount Film Group, said in a statement. “With Anders at the helm, and our partners Red Granite on-board, we are thrilled this movie is getting underway.”
