“Star Trek” alum William Shatner set his Twitter account to “stun” on Monday during the season premiere of “Dancing With the Stars,” waging a vicious campaign to get “The Bachelor” alum Nick Viall bounced from the show.

In a series of blistering tweets, the 86-year-old actor tore into Viall, imploring “DWTS” viewers to vote him off of the competition.

Shatner made his goal clear even before the season premiere, tweeting Monday afternoon, “My goal for #DWTS is to knock Bachelor Nick out ASAP. Who is with me?”

“Whoever your favorite is – just not Nick- make the 10 phone calls for them,” Shatner tweeted minutes later.

“#Dontvote4Nick #DWTS,” the former James T. Kirk added.

Informed that Viall is “kind of sensitive” and that his tweets “may break his heart,” Shatner remained merciless, asking, “And your point?”

Asked what his particular beef is with Viall, Shatner replied, “He lives up to the homonym of his last name,” a presumed play on the word “vile.”

When told by another Twitter user that Viall “grew up a bit” during his stint on “Bachelor in Paradise,” Shatner would have none of it, replying, “Leopards don’t change their spots. Don’t be surprised if he shows up again on paradise. I won’t be.”

On Tuesday, after suffering the slings and arrows of Shatner’s social-media wrath for half a day, Viall himself responded, simply tweeting a sad-face emoji at the actor.

While Shatner gave Viall a hearty thumbs-down before the season premiere even began, the “Dancing With the Stars” judges were slightly more forgiving, awarding Viall and his partner, Peta Murgatroyd, a middling total score of 24.
