“Fear the Walking Dead” actress Elizabeth Rodriguez is in negotiations to join Hugh Jackman in “Wolverine 3,” an individual familiar with 20th Century Fox’s sequel has told TheWrap.

Patrick Stewart will reprise his role as mutant maestro Charles Xavier, aka Professor X. Boyd Holbrook will play the villain, while Richard E. Grant will play a mad scientist. The film will also co-star Stephen Merchant, Eriq La Salle and Elise Neal.

Rodriguez is making a deal for a small but key role in the comic book movie, which is being directed by James Mangold.

“Wolverine 3” is expected to mark Jackman’s final run as the clawed hero. 20th Century Fox will release the superhero sequel on March 3, 2017.

Rodriguez starred in Netflix’s “Orange Is the New Black” before landing a major role in AMC’s “Fear the Walking Dead.” She’s also set to appear on the third season of the hit Starz series “Power.” Her feature credits include “Miami Vice,” “Dead Presidents,” “Blow” and Fox Searchlight’s “The Drop.”

Rodriguez is represented by Innovative Artists, Opus Entertainment and Schreck Rose.
