‘Workaholics’ Renewed for 2 More Seasons by Comedy Central

New episodes will begin in January

If this keeps up, the labor-averse slackers of “Workaholics” will never get a break.

Comedy Central has renewed “Workaholics” for Seasons 6 and 7, the channel said Thursday. Each season will consist of 10 episodes each.

New episodes of the series, which hails from Blake Anderson, Adam DeVine, Anders Holm and Kyle Newacheck, will begin in January.

“I remember when the title of this show was ironic,” Comedy Central’s president, original programming Kent Alterman cracked of the multi-season renewal.

The sitcom, which wrapped up its fifth season in April, centers on three friends (Anderson, DeVine and Holm) who work together from 9 to 5, live together from 5 to 9 and party together 24/7.

“Dress codes, deadlines and waking up before noon are not things these guys are used to,” Comedy Central said of the series. “They do their jobs and sometimes they even do them well, but they show up late, leave drunk and always live for the day … even if they don’t know what day it is.”

On Wednesday, Comedy Central renewed its long-running animated comedy “South Park” for three more seasons.
