Chantel and Pedro’s relationship on this season of TLC’s “90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After?” has been rocky, to say the least, and if Chantel thought they’d be able to work out her issues with his family during a trip to the Dominican Republic, boy was she wrong.
In our new clip from Sunday’s episode, the couple goes at it yet again over Chantel’s strained relationship with Pedro’s mom and sister.
“Why [did] you come here?” Pedro asks Chantel in the clip, confronting her about her decision to follow him back to his home country, ignoring the fact that they are very much married but he’s been living overseas with no real plans to return.
“I came here because I want you and I want to work on our relationship together,” she responds, ignoring the fact that the main point of contention in their relationship is the, shall we say, strained relationship they each have with their respective in-laws and that she’s already gotten into another fight with Pedro’s mother since her arrival.
Eventually, the conversation devolves into essentially the same argument they’ve had countless times, about how refusing to get along with each other’s family puts them both in a difficult position. Once again, neither side is willing to give an inch.
By the end of the clip, which is exclusive to TheWrap, Pedro is so fed up that he invites her to go back home to Georgia. “You can go wherever you want now. You can do whatever you f—ing want,” he says.
That’s the attitude that will remove the question mark from the spinoff’s show title.
