ABC Family Orders Reality Series From ‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’ Producer

“The Letter” features real people giving anonymous life advice to their friends

ABC Family is continuing its expansion into unscripted programming with a series order for “The Letter,” a new reality program from Sirens Media.

“The Letter,” billed as a “bold, new relationship show,” features real people writing anonymous letters to their friends, outlining what needs to be changed in order to improve their lives. The recipient then must live following the instructions in the letter for one week.

The series will begin production in 2016.

“When your best friends tell you what you ‘really need to hear,’ it can be very emotional – whether hurtful, helpful, kind or hopeful,” said ABC Family’s Karey Burke, EVP, Programming & Development. “All these emotions and transformations are explored in our explosive new reality series, ‘The Letter’.”

“The Letter” is produced by Sirens Media, part of Leftfield Entertainment, an ITV America company. Rebecca Toth Diefenbach, Valerie Haselton and Lucilla D’Agostino serve as executive producers.
