ABC has named Andrew Kubitz its new executive vice president of program planning and scheduling.
He replaces Jeff Bader, who earlier this month announced he would exit for NBC.

Kubitz, who will oversee daytime, primetime and late-night program planning and scheduling, as well as film acquisition and theatrical inventory, brings 17 years of scheduling experience to the job. He will report to Paul Lee, president of ABC Entertainment Group.
“Andy’s appointment brings a fresh perspective and a strategic sensibility to our planning and scheduling efforts, joining a team that is second to none in our industry,” said Lee. “Together, I’m confident they will help us take ABC to a whole new level.”

Kubitz was most recently senior vice president of program planning and scheduling for CBS Television, where he was responsible for developing long-term programming and scheduling strategies for CBS’s primetime, daytime and late night lineups, as well as for the CW.
Kubitz previously held a series of positions within CBS. He joined the company in December 1994 as a page in Los Angeles.
