ABC Orders Additional ‘Grey’s Anatomy,’ ‘Black-ish,’ ‘American Housewife’ Episodes

ABC Studios shows will run for 24 episodes this season

ABC has ordered additional episodes of three fall TV shows, the network announced on Monday.

“Grey’s Anatomy,” “Black-ish” and “American Housewife” have had their orders extended by two episodes each, bringing the season totals to 24.

“Grey’s” is currently in its 14th season, and the extended run will bring the Ellen Pompeo-led medical drama to a total of 317 episodes by the end of the season. “Black-ish” is currently airing fourth season, and “American Housewife” returned for its sophomore season last month. All three are produced in house at ABC Studios.

The network also announced on Monday that Freeform’s annual 25 Days of Christmas programming block will be expanded to all Disney|ABC Television Group networks this year, including holiday episodes of “American Housewife” and “Black-ish” on ABC, as well as “Fresh Off the Boat,” “The Mayor,” “The Middle” and “Speechless.”

ABC will debut new seasons of home-decoration competition series “The Great Christmas Light Fight” and cooking series “The Great American Baking Show.”
