Adam Sandler’s ‘The Cobbler’ Heading to Image Entertainment in $3.5 Million Deal

The Tom McCarthy directed film also stars Method Man, Steve Buscemi, Dustin Hoffman, Melonie Diaz and Dan Stevens

Image Entertainment has acquired US rights to “The Cobbler” for $3.5 million, an individual with knowledge of the negotiations has told TheWrap.

Focus Features and A24 were also in the mix. “The Cobbler” has not premiered yet in Toronto but buyers caught the New York comedy at a P&I screening earlier this week.

Voltage Pictures financed the film, which co-stars Method Man, Steve Buscemi, Dustin Hoffman, Melonie Diaz and Dan Stevens.

WME Global and the Gersh Agency are finalizing the deal now. An official announcement is expected shortly.
