After-Partying With the Stars: From Fallon to Fey to Jane Lynch

NBCU’s Jeff Zucker said he would have the ratings from the telecast at 4 a.m. Pacific Time Monday morning, but “don’t call me”

In the NBC section of the Governor’s Ball – tables in “the 100s” in the front of the room – Jimmy Fallon gave former “Weekend Update” co-anchor Tina Fey a bear hug when he arrived. Nearby, NBC Universal President/CEO Jeff Zucker said he would have the ratings from the telecast at 4 a.m. Pacific Time Monday morning, but “don’t call me.”

Over at one of the multiple solid ice Grey Goose bars, former NBC Co-Chair Ben Silverman said that if he had oversight of the show, he wouldn’t have changed a thing. “Jimmy really brought it.”

Later in the night, Fallon was still “hosting”, throwing his own under-the-radar get together at Trousdale Lounge in West Holywood. Even non-Emmy related talent like Robert Pattinson and Drew Barrymore suited up for the overtime gathering of many "SNL" alums and personal friends like Matthew Fox and Padma Lakshmi.

Kate Gosselin, who played a tag-along version of herself in the telecast’s opening number, was still part of the crew late in the night, celebrating alongside Jon Hamm, Kyra Sedgwick (clutching her Emmy), Kevin Bacon, Heidi Klum and Seal.

Over at Colony, MTV Networks President Doug Herzog and Comedy Central President Michelle Ganeless toasted the eighth consecutive win for “The Daily Show” as others also toasted the loss by “The Amazing Race” to "Top Chef" (after seven wins). The opposite fortunes elevated Jon Stewart’s show to sole possession of the record for most consecutive wins. Where was Stewart?  A “Daily Show” writer was getting married this weekend and some of the staff chose the wedding over the Emmys. It is possible that he was there. Stephen Colbert and John Oliver were at the Hamptons inspired venue.

Rob Riggle told TheWrap about one of the show’s seldom discussed losing efforts: a recent loss in a New York entertainment softball league to the "The Howard Stern Show." (Teams from “Late Show with David Letterman” and channel-mate “Colbert Report” also swing the bats .)
