AMC has set April premiere dates for the new drama “The Son,” as well as the third season of “Better Call Saul,” the network announced on Saturday at a Television Critics Association press event.
“The Son,” based on the Philipp Meyer novel of the same name, will premiere with a two-hour episode on AMC and SundanceTV on Saturday, April 8 at 9 p.m. “Better Call Saul” will return on Monday, April 10 at 10 p.m.
As previously announced, the martial arts drama “Into the Badlands” will return with Season 2 on Sunday, March 19 at 10 p.m.

“The Son” is described as a multi-generational epic telling of America’s birth as a superpower through the bloody rise and fall of one Texas family, with Pierce Brosnan starring as patriarch Eli McCullough. It also stars Henry Garrett, Zahn McClarnon, Paola Nunez and Sydney Lucas.
The series from AMC Studios and Sonar Entertainment is written and executive produced by Meyer, Lee Shipman, Brian McGreevy and showrunner Kevin Murphy. Jenna Glazier will produce for Sonar.

Season 3 of “Better Call Saul” follows the twists and turns of Jimmy McGill’s (Bob Odenkirk) devolution toward “Breaking Bad’s” Saul Goodman. Michael McKean, Jonathan Banks, Mark Margolis, Patrick Fabian, Michael Mando and Rhea Seehorn also star.
The drama is executive produced by Peter Gould and Vince Gilligan, alongside Mark Johnson, Melissa Bernstein, Thomas Schnauz and Gennifer Hutchison.
