Adam Lambert will soon release his third studio album and he’ll be doing so under a new record label.
The “American Idol” alum wouldn’t tell Ryan Seacrest any details about his new deal or upcoming project but confirmed that both are happening.
“I’m working on this album,” Lambert said on-air. “I’m really excited about it. I got signed to another label, which I’m not going to reveal right now. It’s a really good deal.”
Lambert released “Trespassing” under RCA in 2012, topping the Billboard 200 chart. The music label then parted ways with Lambert after they reportedly pressured him to put out an all-covers project for his third LP.
“I can’t say too much, but it’s going to be really good,” Lambert told Seacrest about his next project.
Lambert has spent much of 2014 touring with classic rock band Queen, taking the reigns from the late Freddie Mercury as the group’s lead singer.
The next season of “American Idol” will also see Lambert return, stepping in for Keith Urban behind the judge’s table during New York auditions for the show.
