A Twitter account purportedly controlled by hacker group Anonymous has been suspended after it threatened to release proof of an Iggy Azalea sex tape.

Twitter was not immediately about to confirm for TheWrap that the account is controlled by Anonymous, a group with a social media presence across several handles, or why it was suspended.

Anonymous had previously threatened to shut down an Iggy Azalea concert.

@TheAnonMessage tweeted the following: “MESSAGE: @IGGYAZALEA, you have exactly 48 hours from now to release a statement apologizing to @AzealiaBanks and the protesters in NYC…”

Here are some more @TheAnonMessage tweets on the subject:

“MESSAGE:@IGGYAZALEA if you do not do so, the memory of you will burn from the public faster than the moment you surfaced. We’re not kidding.”

“You are guilty of misappropriating black culture, insulting peaceful protesters, and making light of Eric Garner’s death. @IGGYAZALEA

“There’s an X rated tape of you, we bet you’d certainly don’t want public, are we right? @IGGYAZALEA….and this is nothing. Comply or else.”

“Now about that sex tape. We wont release the actual video. We have values to live by.”

“However, we will release various snapshots of her face to confirm. The idea is not about releasing nudes. This shows nothing.”

As for the Azalea-Banks beef, that goes back a ways. Banks is more than displeased by a line in Azalea’s song “D.R.U.G.S.,” in which the white Aussie rapper says, “When the relay starts I’m a run-away slave … master.”

The latest continuation of the mutual dislike stems from Bank’s perception of Azalea’s Twitter silence following Eric Garner’s death, when the New York City man was placed in a chokehold by a policeman and subsequently died, and from Banks’ subsequent appearance on New York City radio station Hot 97, where the lesser-known rapper dissed her Grammy-winning hip-hop contemporary.

“That Macklemore album wasn’t better than the Drake record. That Iggy Azalea shit isn’t better than any fucking black girl that’s rapping today,” Banks said, among other remarks. “The Grammys are supposed to be accolades of artistic excellence. Iggy Azalea is not excellent.”
