Donald Trump’s recent proposal to ban all Muslims from entering the United States has earned him a warning to “think twice before you say anything” from hacktivist group Anonymous.
The group, who previously declared war on ISIS after the Paris attacks, said Trump’s dangerous rhetoric is exactly what the terrorists want.
“This policy is going to have a huge impact. This is what ISIS wants,” a masked Anonymous representative said in a video released earlier this week. “The more Muslims feel sad, the more ISIS feel that they can recruit them, the more the United States appears to be targeting Muslims, not just radical Muslims.
“You can be sure that ISIS will put that up on their social media campaign,” Anonymous continued. “Donald Trump, think twice before you say anything. You have been warned.”
Anonymous isn’t alone in telling Trump to shut up. A number of media outlets are so upset by the GOP presidential candidate’s most recent controversial statement that they’re dumping objectivity in favor of openly criticizing him.
White House press secretary Josh Earnest has said the plan to ban an entire religion “disqualifies him from serving as president,” while Hillary Clinton told Seth Meyers on Thursday that Trump is no longer amusing, and reiterated he’s actually “dangerous.”
