‘The Arrangement’ Star Michael Vartan Wants His Cult Leader Character to Get Darker (Video)

“He’s obviously not a saint, but I think it’d be interesting to push the boundaries a little further” actor tells TheWrap

Michael Vartan plays the leader of a Scientology-like “self-help” organization on E!’s scripted drama “The Arrangement,” which is not a light role, but it’s one Vartan would like to see get darker.

“I’d like to explore his dark side a little more [in Season 2],” Vartan said in an interview with TheWrap. “He’s obviously not a saint, but I think it’d be interesting to push the boundaries a little further and see how dark he can get.”

It’s hard to imagine how much darker the character can get, given that in last month’s season finale he kidnapped Christine Evangelista’s character, drugged her and forced her to relive her childhood sexual assault.

But we’ll find out when the show returns for its sophomore outing next year. (E! picked up the series for a 10-episode second season last month.) Megan has already vowed to “burn the whole thing down” in revenge, a fate Terence surely won’t take lying down.
