‘Arrow’ Season 3 Poster Lines Up Its Heroes

Oliver Queen returns with new allies and new enemies when the CW superhero show returns for season 3 in October

Cool guys don’t look at explosions on the first teaser poster for Season 3 of “Arrow.”

Team Arrow — plus Laurel — is seen front and center strutting their way away from Starling City, which appears to be engulfed in flames. Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) is flanked by Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) and Laurel (Katie Cassidy), while Diggle (David Ramsey) and Roy (Colton Haynes) are in full Arsenal garb, bringing up the rear.

For the first time since Season 1, Willa Holland’s Thea Queen, little sister to Arrow himself, is missing from the lineup. It’s fitting since she left the city at the end of Season 2 with her newly discovered biological father, the villainous Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman).

And while the group shot is smaller than it’s ever been before, Season 3 will be welcoming plenty of new faces, including Brandon Routh as Ray Palmer, the DC superhero know as Atom. In addition to plenty of new villains, Season 3 will also see the introduction of the iconic Ra’s al Ghul, to be played by Matt Nable.
