MTV has released new trailers for “Awkward” and “Faking It” ahead of the series’ return next month.
The trailer for “Awkward” Season 5B picks up a year after the mid-season finale, with Jenna heading into summer a year out of high school.
She returns with a new-found confidence as she starts an exciting fellowship at an Internet startup, but as she reconnects with her high school friends, it’s clear that there has been a lot she’s missed.
“Mean Girls” star Jonathan Bennett also makes his first appearance in the trailer as Ethan, one of Jenna’s co-workers.
“Faking It’s” third season begins at the opposite end of summer, with Karma and Amy struggling to navigate their complicated friendship after spending a summer apart.
Their buddy Shane is caught between friends, while Liam wonders whether he is even capable of having friends. Meanwhile, Lauren struggles with a decision about whether friends are worth the effort.
“Awkward” Season 5B and “Faking It” Season 3 return to MTV on Tuesday, March 15 at 10 and 10:30, respectively.
