Barbra Streisand to Be Honored at PaleyFest LA 2018

TV festival also unveils March lineup, which includes “Stranger Things,” “The Orville” and “Handmaid’s Tale”

The Paley Center announced the lineup for the 2018 PaleyFest LA, complete with a special tribute to Barbra Streisand.

The annual television festival runs March 16-25, featuring panels for new and long-running shows, including Fox’s “The Orville,” Hulu’s “Handmaid’s Tale,” The CW’s “Riverdale,” Netflix’s “Stranger Things” and CBS’s “The Big Bang Theory.”

The fest will open with an “Icon Tribute” to Streisand, which will include a look back on her career as a television performer and a discussion with Streisand herself. Other shows to be discussed at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood include “Will & Grace,” “Silicon Valley,” “Supernatural,” “The Good Doctor,” “Mom” and “Queen Sugar.”

“PaleyFest LA 2018 will feature the very best that television has to offer including Emmy Award-winning comedies and dramas, intriguing sci-fi mysteries, and the acclaimed revival of one of television’s most beloved shows,” Paley Center President & CEO Maureen J. Reidy said in a statement. “We’re especially proud to honor Barbra Streisand as this year’s PaleyFest Icon, and look forward to celebrating her numerous television accomplishments.”
