Ben McKenzie’s ‘Last Good Man in Gotham’ Is Vastly Outnumbered by Evil (Video)

Latest video for Fox’s fall series shows just how lopsided the divide is between good and evil in the city that will someday spawn Batman

The latest short video for Fox’s “Gotham” talked about the ongoing battle between good and evil. Presumably, considering the city will ultimately need a vigilante defender for justice in the form of Batman, evil is going to have the upper hand in this prequel series.

Ben McKenzie describes his character, future police commissioner James Gordon, as “the last good man in Gotham.”

But after a quick shot of Detective Gordon on the streets of the city, we’re quickly reminded just how outnumbered he is by the criminal underbelly of the DC Universe’s darkest city. Shots of Jada Pinkett Smith‘s crime boss, Robin Lord Taylor’s “Penguin,” and Camren Bicondova’s “Catwoman” are just the tip of Gotham’s criminal iceberg.

Series creator Bruno Heller hopes audiences will come to “Gotham” to root for Gordon and his team of police officers against the overwhelming numbers of the city’s growing underworld. The series co-stars Donal Logue, Sean Pertwee, David Mazouz, Victoria Cartagena, Andrew Stewart Jones, Zabryna Guevara and Cory Michael Smith.
