Bill Maher Compliments Josh Hawley’s Looks: ‘Kind of JFK With a Dash of KKK’ (Video)

The “Real Time” host also mocked Hawley’s habit of “just asking questions”

Bill Maher stopped by “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Tuesday night — despite warning Kimmel that it may not be a good idea to have him on a truly live show — and while there, he had a new way of describing Senator Josh Hawley.

In discussing the results of the midterm elections (or at least, what those results were looking to be), Maher marveled at the fact that a slew of election deniers ran for office this year. Like many others, including Kimmel, Maher wondered how people who tout the lie that the 2020 election was rigged and stolen from twice impeached former president Donald Trump could then seriously expect to be democratically elected to office.

That includes Josh Hawley, who was very outspoken against certifying Joe Biden as president, and was even photographed raising a fist in support of the rioters who attacked the Capitol on Jan. 6.

“There are people like, you know, Josh Hawley, from Missouri. Handsome, kind of JFK with a dash of KKK,” Maher mocked.

But, speaking more to Hawley’s actual politics, Maher didn’t have anything kinder to say. The “Real Time” host honed in on the idea that Hawley defends his actions by claiming he’s not actually doing anything wrong, just wondering things aloud.

“He says this, you know, ‘I’m just asking questions.’ That’s his thing,” Maher said. “Yeah, questions like, ‘Why does the guy with the most votes always have to win?’ You know, just questions that anyone would ask about an election!”

Elsewhere in his interview with Kimmel, Maher turned his sights on “moron” Mike Lindell, the CEO of MyPillow. When Kimmel played the “Real Time” host a clip of Lindell happily offering to appear on the show, Maher’s response was simple.

“Dream on, nut-case,” he said. You can watch Maher’s full appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” in the video above.
