“Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” is finally here.

And the new Marvel Studios extravaganza deals with the death of T’Challa (Chadwick Boseman, who tragically passed away) and the lack of a new Black Panther in Wakanda. The already-fraught situation becomes even more pressing as Namor (Tenoche Huerta) emerges from his underwater kingdom to threaten the surface world – beginning with Wakanda. It’s an epic action movie that also doubles as a thoughtful meditation on grief and mourning. And it’s one of the most anticipated movies of the year.

As is customary, the Marvel movie doesn’t end with the credits. Oftentimes the story will continue beyond. And if you’re curious about whether or not you should stick around, we’ve got the intel for you.

Is there a credits scene?

Yes, this is a Marvel Studios movie. Since the beginning (2008’s “Iron Man”), mid- and post-credits scenes have become a hallmark of the studio and, to a degree, larger blockbuster movies in general (this year alone we’ve had credits scenes in Pixar’s “Lightyear,” DC/Warner Bros’ “Black Adam” and Universal/Illumination’s “Minions: The Rise of Gru”). So, yes, you should be very much expecting a mid-credits or post-credits scene, especially from a Marvel Studios movie (“Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2” had five).

How many credits scenes does “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” have?

It only has one.

Really?

Yes.

Is it a mid-credits or post-credits scene?

It is a mid-credits scene.

What does it come after?

It comes after the beautiful, artfully simple main-on-end credits sequence, which is accompanied by Rihanna’s new, Oscar-bound single “Lift Me Up.” Full disclosure: you’ll probably be sobbing during this entire sequence/song.

How is the mid-credits scene?

It’s a doozy. Arguably one of the best (and certainly the most emotional) Marvel Studios tag yet.

So I can leave after the mid-credits scene?

You can, although you will miss seeing the names of countless VFX artists who spent time away from their families and loved ones to work on this movie (there are so many), along with all the other technicians and artisans who made “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” a reality.

Is there anything after the credits?

Just a single card.

Can you say what the card reads?

It might be a spoiler.

Oh come on!

Okay, fine. It says: “Black Panther will return.” This is another Marvel Studios tradition and itself is a loving homage to earlier James Bond movies (sometimes those 007 movies would even specify, by name, what the next movie would be). Fear not, your Wakandan warrior will be back!

“Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” is in theaters now.
