Brad Bessey Named Exec Producer of CBS’ ‘The Talk’

Has been with “Entertainment Tonight” since 1995

Brad Bessey, the co-executive producer of "Entertainment Tonight," will become executive producer of "The Talk," the new CBS daytime talk show that will begin airing in October, the network announced Wednesday.

Bessey had been with "ET" since 1995, first joining as coordinating producer. He was later promoted to senior producer and then to co-executive producer in 2005.

He is also senior consultant on "The Insider," a spin-off of "Entertainment Tonight." Both shows are distributed by CBS Television Distribution.

"The Talk," which will be co-hosted by Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, Holly Robinson Peete, Leah Remini and Marissa Jaret Winokur, will air at 2 p.m. on CBS, replacing the long-running soap opera "As the World Turns."

"Daytime television is about to get more dynamic with six incredible outspoken mothers who are not afraid to keep it real," Bessey said in a statement.

In addition to Bessey, Gilbert, who developed the show, and John Redmann, also will serve as executive producers.
