Bravo Media Promotes Berwick to President

Longtime network programmer elevated to top spot

Frances Berwick, a 14-year veteran of Bravo Networks, was promoted to president of Bravo Media, where she previously held the position of executive VP and general manager.

Frances Berwick BravoShe fills a post last held by Lauren Zalaznick until Zalaznick was promoted to president of NBCU Women & Lifestyle Entertainment Networks in May 2008. Berwick will continue to report to Zalaznick.

 

During the past two years in her role as general manager, Berwick increased Bravo’s original TV programming by 33 percent. From 2005 to 2008, Berwick was executive VP, programming and production.

During her career at Bravo, she developed, produced and launched Emmy-winning shows "Project Runway" and "Top Chef," as well as "Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-list," "Flipping Out," "Rachel Zoe" and "The Real Housewives" franchise.

For her entire tenure at Bravo, she has also overseen the network’s longest-running original series, "Inside the Actors Studio."

She also secured a deal for Bravo to become the U.S. network partner of Cirque du Soleil.

Before joining Bravo, she headed international TV distribution and licensing for Britain’s Channel 4 Television.

"Under Frances’ oversight as general manager, Bravo Media has experienced phenomenal growth across all areas of the business, while attracting the most affluent and educated audience in cable entertainment," Zalaznick said in a statement announcing Berwick’s promotion.
