Chris Evans’ unfaltering adoration for the New England Patriots overshadows everything — even his dislike for President Trump.

The Captain America actor has been increasingly politically active since Donald Trump won the election in November, tweeting his disdain after the result was announced and calling it “an embarrassing night for America.”

And while Trump outed Patriots QB Tom Brady as a supporter last year, Evans isn’t holding his hero’s political views against him.

“Well, I tell you what. If anyone gets a pass it’s Tom Brady,” the Boston-born actor told USA Today. ”

“I’m just going out of my way to give Tom Brady a pass. He gave me five rings. What am I supposed to do? He gets a pass,” he continued.

Evans admitted last week to Jimmy Kimmel that he holds Brady on such a pedestal that he doesn’t even want to meet him.

“I just want to let him be the thing I imagine he is, and that’s it. That’s good enough for me,” the “Avengers: Infinity War” said on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”

As for his political opinions in regards to anyone other than the Super Bowl LI MVP, Evan went on to tell USA Today, “I’m a citizen first, actor second. I know a lot times actors get grief for having their opinions shared, and people label you as ‘out of touch,’” he said.

“That’s fine if you feel that way, But also it doesn’t negate what I think and feel. And I have a right to share it. More than anything else I’m a citizen of America. And I have my thoughts and opinions.”
