Cinedigm Partners With Drafthouse Films for Homevideo Releases

Digital distributor to release the boutique theatrical distributor’s offerings on all platforms starting in 2014

Cinedigm has partnered with Drafthouse Films to release the boutique exhibitor’s slate on all home entertainment channels, the companies announced Wednesday.

Drafthouse Films, the distribution arm of Alamo Drafthouse Cinemas, is a curated brand of arthouse films from around the globe. It debuted in 2010 with “Four Lions,” followed by “Bullhead” and most recently “The Act of Killing.”

Cinedigm will release the Drafthouse slate on DVD/Blu-ray, broadcast TV, subscription VOD, cable VOD and digital platforms when the partnership begins in 2014. The first release will be a pre-theatrical VOD offering of “Cheap Thrills.”
