CNBC announced Friday that “The Kudlow Report” would end its five-year run some time this month, with host Larry Kudlow moving to a senior contributor role at the network.
“Larry expressed his love of the network and personal pride in what had been accomplished on his program over the years but now wanted to slow down just a bit,” CNBC president Mark Hoffman wrote in a note to staff.

Kudlow has anchored the 7 p.m. ET show on CNBC since 2009, and he has been a fixture on the network for 13 years.
“The Kudlow Report” was the latest iteration of shows anchored by the conservative economist and former Reagan administration staffer, including “Kudlow & Company” (2005-2008), “Kudlow & Cramer” (2002-2005), and “America Now,” which lasted for one season in 2001.

Hoffman said CNBC was working on plans to fill the spot vacated by Kudlow.
