Comedian Jon Rudnitsky Joins ‘SNL’ for Season 41

Featured player will be only new addition this year; rest of cast to return

Stand-up comedian Jon Rudnitsky has joined the cast of “Saturday Night Live” as a featured player for Season 41.

An “SNL” spokesperson told TheWrap that all Season 40 players are returning for the upcoming fall season; Rudnitsky will be the only new addition this year.

Earlier this month, the show revealed that former cast member Tracy Morgan will return to host in October. He’ll follow Miley Cyrus and Amy Schumer.

Rudnitsky hails from Harrington Park, NJ and graduated from the University of Southern California. He got his start on stage in high school, later winning the 2012 Laugh Factory’s Laugh Bowl college comedy competition.

In 2015, the Just For Laughs festival included Rudnitsky in their “New Faces” showcase, which is their annual list of up-and-coming comedians. The 26-year-old Rudnitsky resides in New York City.
