Crystal Reed is finally returning to “Teen Wolf.”

The actress, who starred on the show as Allison Argent for three seasons before her character was killed in the Season 3 finale, will return for a flashback episode of the MTV series.

The episode, titled “The Maid of Gévaudan,” will air Feb. 23.

According to Buzzfeed, who first reported the news, Reed will not be playing Allison, but Marie-Jeanne Valet, one of her ancestors living in France in the 1700s. Season 5B’s big bad, Beast of Gévaudan, is a monster the character originally faced in 1765.

Reed told Buzzfeed that she wasn’t interested in reprising her role as Allison, but jumped at the chance to play the new character.

“Basically, Jeff [David, executive producer, head writer and show creator] just said, ‘France in the 1700s,’ and I was in,” she said. “He was definitely playing into my emotions. He knows that I have been dying to do a period piece and I love getting my head around different accents and different cultures.

“He didn’t even have much of a character worked out other than it was based on the Maid of Gévaudan. And I knew the legend, so before really knowing anything further, I said yes.”

“Teen Wolf” airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. on MTV.
