CW Sets ‘Hart of Dixie,’ ‘Masters of Illusion’ Return Dates

Rachel Bilson drama and Dean Cain-hosted magic show to come back in January 2015

CW has set return dates for Rachel Bilson drama series “Hart of Dixie” and Dean Cain-hosted “Masters of Illusion,” the network announced Tuesday.

“Masters of Illusion” returns first on Friday, Jan. 9 at 8 p.m., and “Hart of Dixie” kicks off its 10-episode season later at 9 p.m.

Bilson (“The O.C.”) stars as Doctor Zoe Hart in the fish-out-of-water comedic drama set in the Deep South. She stars alongside Wilson Bethel (“Tunnel Rats”), Cress Williams (“Prison Break”) and Jaime King (“Sin City”).

The show, now entering it’s fourth season, is produced by Bonanza Productions Inc., in association with Fake Empire, Warner Bros. Television and CBS Television Studios with executive producers Leila Gerstein (“Gossip Girl,” “Eli Stone”), Josh Schwartz (“Gossip Girl,” “Chuck,” “The O.C.”), Stephanie Savage (“Gossip Girl,” “The O.C.”) and Len Goldstein.

“Masters of Illusion,” meanwhile, will return with four original episodes. The half-hour show will serve as a lead-in for encore presentations of the CW’s improvisational comedy series, “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” Cain (“Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman”) returns as “Masters of Illusion’s” host, ready to dazzle his live studio audiences with more great escapes and fascinating sleight of hands.
