David Steinberg Reveals His Dream Podcast Guest, Compares Donald Trump to 3 Stooges (Video)

“He’s the one that punches you in the eye, and tickles your nose, and says whatever he wants and bosses everyone around. It’s delightful,” legendary comedian tells TheWrap

Legendary comedian David Steinberg stopped by TheWrap to discuss his new podcast, as well as his long history with “The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson,” along with his work on shows like “Seinfeld,” “Friends” and “Curb Your Enthusiasm.”

Steinberg recently launched “The David Steinberg Podcast,” which has already played host to some of the biggest names in comedy, including Carl Reiner, Kevin Nealon, Martin Short, Eugene Levy, Kathy Griffin and Chris Elliott. Mel Brooks is set to guest on the March 22 episode.

When discussing his dream podcast guest — dead or alive — Steinberg said it would be interesting to talk to Moses, saying he would like to ask the Biblical figure questions like, “Did you really have a stammer and couldn’t talk? Was Aaron doing everything? When you approached the burning bush and you burned your feet, did you say, ‘Ah shit’?”

The comedian also shared a story about a late night encounter with a Playboy playmate appearing on “The Tonight Show,” and his thoughts on Donald Trump.

“Any decent comedian would not do Donald Trump because he’s so outrageous himself,” he said. “He’s Moe of Moe, Larry and Curly of The Three Stooges. He’s the one that punches you in the eye, and tickles your nose, and says whatever he wants and bosses everyone around. It’s delightful.”
