‘Devious Maids’ Gets June 23 Premiere Date on Lifetime

Series reteams "Desperate Housewives" creator Marc Cherry and star Eva Longoria

Lifetime has given "Devious Maids," the new series from "Desperate Housewives" creator Marc Cherry and star Eva Longoria, a Sunday, June 23 premiere date.

Lifetime has ordered 13 episodes of the series, which features Ana Ortiz ("Ugly Betty"), Dania Ramirez ("Entourage"), Roselyn Sanchez ("Without a Trace"), Edy Ganem ("Livin’ Loud") and Judy Reyes ("Scrubs") as portray five ambitious maids working for the rich and famous in Beverly Hills. Cherry and Longoria are executive producing.

The maids begin to uncover their employees dark secrets when one of their own is murdered. The show's tagline says it all: "Whoever holds the dirt holds the power."

The show, which was in development at ABC before the network passed, will premiere at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
