DirecTV Orders Comedy ‘You Me Her,’ Based on Playboy Article

Romantic-comedy series from Entertainment One Television receives 10-episode order

DirecTV has made a direct-to-series order for Entertainment One Television’s romantic comedy series “You Me Her.” Ten half-hour episodes of the series will air on DIRECTV’s Audience Network.

Inspired by the Playboy Magazine article titled “Sugar on Top” by John H. Richardson and created for television by John Scott Shepherd, the series is billed as television’s first “polyromantic comedy.”

“We are excited to partner with eOne again to bring You Me Her to our viewers, ” said Chris Long, DirecTV’s SVP of Original Content and Production. “Audience Network always strives to feature a wide-ranging slate of programming that is unlike anything else on television and we have once again succeeded with ‘You Me Her.'”

Entertainment One and DIRECTV previously partnered on the suspense-drama “Rogue” starring Cole Hauser, Richard Schiff and Thandie Newton, which is currently in its third season.

Entertainment One will finance, produce and distribute “You Me Her” worldwide, with Gerard Bocaccio, SVP US Scripted Development, overseeing “You Me Her” for the studio. Playboy’s Alta Loma Entertainment’s Peter Jaysen will serve as an Executive Producer along with Alan Gasme.
