Charlie Sheen appears to have flip-flopped on the Donald Trump issue.

“Anger Management” star Sheen has thrown his hat into the ring as a potential running mate for the GOP front-runner, after calling Trump a “shame pile of idiocy.”

Sheen took to Twitter on Thursday to declare that he would gladly serve as Trump’s vice president, after actor Owen Wilson compared Trump to the occasionally volatile actor.

“Dear O. Wilson they took ur comment out of context! I’m honored! thank u!” Sheen gushed. “If Trump will hv me I’d be his VP in a heartbeat!”

He added the hashtag, “#TrumpSheen16,” which, you have to admit, would make a pretty nifty bumper sticker.

During an interview with The Daily Beast this week, Wilson opined that Trump’s performance on the campaign trail is similar to Sheen’s infamous antics.

“You can’t help but get a kick out of him, and I think part of it is we’re so used to politicians on both sides sounding like actors at press junkets,” Wilson said. “So here’s somebody who’s not following that script. It’s like when Charlie Sheen was doing that stuff–like, wow! He’s answering a question completely honestly, and in an entertaining way. You sort of feel he could be a character from ‘Network.’”

Sheen’s offer to serve as a Number 2 beneath Trump marks a thorough about-face from last month, when the actor dragged the candidate over the coals via Twitter.

“Trump you’re a sad & silly homunculus your words as poignant as a sack of cat farts You’re a shame pile of idiocy,” Sheen seethed at the time.

Politics have made stranger bedfellows — but would it be a #winning combination?
