Allegations against “Gossip Girl” star Ed Westwick, who has been accused of rape by multiple women, are currently being investigated by the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office.

A spokesperson for the D.A.’s office confirmed to TheWrap that a case had been presented on March 20 and was currently under review, but did not provide any further details about the investigation.

Three women came forward last November to accuse Westwick of sexual assault or rape, allegations the actor has denied. The actor said via Twitter at the time that he was “cooperating with authorities” to set the record straight.

“It is disheartening and sad to me that as a result of two unverified and provably untrue social media claims, there are some in this environment who could ever conclude I have anything to do with such vile and horrific conduct,” the actor wrote. “I have absolutely not, and I am cooperating with the authorities so that they can clear my name as soon as possible.”

Westwick was first accused by actress Kristina Cohen, who said in a Facebook post that Westwick forced himself on her three years ago, sexually assaulting her while she was napping at his house.

“I told him to stop, but he was strong,” she wrote. “I fought him off as hard as I could but he grabbed my face in his hands, shaking me, telling me he wanted to f- me. I was paralyzed, terrified. I couldn’t speak, I could no longer move. He held me down and raped me.”

A second woman, Aurelie Wynn, later came forward saying that Westwick attacked her after a party at his home. “And like Kristina, I said no and he pushed me face down and was powerless under his weight,” she wrote. “I was wearing a one piece bathing suit that he ripped, I was in complete shock.”

Westwick’s third accuser, Rachel Eck, said in an interview with Buzzfeed that the actor aggressively pursued and “groped” her at the Sunset Marquis in West Hollywood the night before the 2014 Oscars.
