Elisabeth Hasselbeck Celebrates ‘Fox & Friends’ First Anniversary with Ratings Jump (Video)

After a year on the job, the host has also earned hand warmers

Happy anniversary, Elisabeth Hasselbeck. Start chewing.

The day after her sometime-nemesis Rosie O’Donnell returned to the folds of “The View,” the former “View” panelist celebrated her first year on the job at the Fox News morning show “Fox & Friends.”

In celebration, Hasselbeck’s co-workers Steve Doocy and Brian Kilmeade showered her with gifts befitting the milestone.

Such as, uh, gum.

To be fair, Hasselbeck did receive other items to mark her first year with the show. She was also gifted with a framed copy of a New York Times ad promoting her premiere, as well as hand warmers for Hasselbeck, who often gets cold on the set of the morning show.

Despite the somewhat meager offerings, Hasselbeck declared that it had been an “incredible year” and adding, “I’m so thankful for the opportunity.”

“And you guys [Steve and Brian] treat me like a sister,” Hasselbeck added.

Kilmeade and Doocy might have dug a little deeper in their pockets to celebrate Hasselbeck’s anniversary. After all, she’s been pretty good for the show. For the most recent full month in August, “Fox & Friends” was up 7 percent in the key 25-54 news demo compared to the same time frame last year, beating both CNN and MSNBC in the time slot combined in both the demo and total viewers.

Maybe next year they can spring for a soda pop too along with the gum.
