TV critics might be dying to get their hands on the first glimpses of Lady Gaga‘s “American Horror Story: Hotel” performance — but early reviews are in from her co-stars.

“She’s everything I thought she would be,” Angela Bassett told E! host Ryan Seacrest. “Creative, generous, warm, funny.”

Gaga will play a femme fatale on the fifth season of Ryan Murphy‘s FX horror anthology, alongside Bassett, Matt Bomer, Kathy Bates, Finn Wittrock, and Evan Peters among others.

Sarah Paulson, who has appeared on each season and this year plays ultra-bad girl “Hypodermic Sally,” was previously open about her intention to make Gaga a dear friend.

“It’s going slowly,” Paulson told E!’s Giuliana Rancic. “I don’t want to overwhelm her.”

Gaga makes her debut come October 7, when “Hotel” premieres on FX. As for the rest of Emmys 2015 — read TheWrap’s complete coverage here.
